While I was working on the latter architectural paintings I was doing a sudoku puzzle. I wondered what would happen if I changed the numbers for the numbered shades of grey paint from the architectural paintings. Instead I chose 9 colours that coordinated and gave each one a number 1 to 9.
These were the stepping stones between my figurative architectural paintings and my abstract paintings.
